11-11-11

11-11-11
What is it all about?
There has been a lot of talk and speculation around the impending 11-11-11 (Nov. 11, 2011) and its significance. Of course one of the significant things is that it is Remembrance Day, and while we do not want to focus on war, the more we can be aware that there are much better, and life affirming solutions, the more we can move that direction as a society.

All of the hype around 11-11-11 has been fun and interesting, with several theories suggesting this is a portal into a new world. Portals and best theories aside, what I do know is that 11 is a master number about new beginnings and illumination. So when you put three 11′s together, it has to be a good thing.

Regardless of the significance of this particular date, it has attracted a lot of attention, and as such there will be millions of people around the world meditating and praying for peace and love on this  day…now that definitely is a good thing!

Have you ever heard the expression from A Course in Miracles the “every behavior is a call for love”. Seems like a simple enough statement, but there is certainly a depth of meaning to that. Think about it, really think about what that might mean. It can change the way you look at the world, maybe even makes it a little easier to forgive self and others.

What excites me about this time, is that all of those millions of people will be responding to the call WITH LOVE.  How great is that, millions of people focused on love? Please join me in the call of love tomorrow, in what ever way you are able to. If you are unable to participate in a live event in your area, do a little search online for 11-11-11 meditations, 11-11-11 activations or 11-11-11 events, and you are sure to find something that resonates with you that you can take part in from home.  One of the sites I would recommend is www.templeofsacredsound.org where you can join Jonathan Goldman to do a verbal meditation for love any time of the day. He recommends 11:11 am or pm, but please go there anytime today and send YOU LOVE around the world and out into the universe. For that matter go into the temple everyday if you would like to.

My Angel Friend Bonnie has written excellent words for today’s event. I thought I would share her words here.

My message from Spirit has been similar. In addition, I have been “told” that there will be a “Spiritual Enlightenment Download” from the heavens. It has been said that this craziness that we have all been feeling (especially in the past 3-4 months) is aligning us for this phenomenon!

Change Takes 21 days (or more)

FIVE STEPS TO CREATE CHANGE

With all of the amazing energy pouring into our planet right now, this is the time to make changes in your life.  Use this magnificent opportunity to focus your mental Attention and the Intent of your Being to transform your life.  Attention and Intention are a powerful force.  Then just add a little action and the changes begin.

There are Five Steps To Change that can help make the process easier.

1. The first step to change is awareness of what you want to change.
2. The next step is to understand the current system you are using.
3.  Then discover which part of your current system is not working toward what you want.
4.  Create a new step or habit for that part of your system.
5.  Be Persistent.

Although these Five Steps can be used and adapted for almost anything you would like to change, let’s use the example of applying The Five Steps to the clutter in your home from the mail you receive.

The goal is to change the habit that is creating the problem, and then clean up the mess the old habit created.  In the example of the mail clutter, you are changing the habit or system that creates the unopened piles of mail, so no more mail is piling up.  Then you can begin to more easily clean up the old clutter.

The secret is that you are creating a new habit, which takes about 21 days.  So be patient with yourself and persistent for about 3 weeks.  Very soon your new habit will become natural and you will easily handle the situation in a smooth and comfortable manner.

Below are each of the five steps explained a little more fully.

1. Notice the clutter, where it is and how you would like it to be.  Like the mail piles up on the kitchen table and goes unanswered, misplaced and the pile continues to grow until you finally clean it up or just put it all in boxes to get out of sight and the next pile of mail begins again.

2. Notice what you currently do with the mail.  You manage to bring it in and put it on the table.  Good, that part is working.  Then it just sits there unopened except when it is essential like to find a bill and pay it.  The rest of the mail just continues to pile up along with the stack of already opened mail that needs to be filed.

3. Notice the part of the system that is not working. In this example, the clutter is created once you leave it unopened on the table.

4.  Create a new step for that part.  Now that you know where you old habit starts to not support your goal you can decide what is the best way to change that step. Maybe you will find that it helps keep a wastebasket right near the table where you set down the mail.  Then when you bring in the mail you can easily go through it and quickly throw away all the junk mail.  Then perhaps you might decide to have a little box or holder right there where you can put the mail that you need to handle, like bills or correspondence.  And another holder for other non essential mail you want to look at more leisurely.
Great!  Did you notice, with just this simple change you have now already discarded the junk mail and sorted the rest of the mail for easier access.  Congratulations!!!  Well done!!

5. Be Persistent.  Continue to practice your new habit each time you bring in the mail.  As part of your new habit you will also need to Create a regular time when you take care of the mail you have put in the different boxes.  The more often the better!   Once you choose when to take care it, stick to the plan.  Remember, you are creating a new habit, and that takes about 21 days.  Perhaps your plan is to go through the little holders of sorted mail on every Saturday morning.  Or perhaps you will decided that a better time for you is Tuesday evenings while listening to some favorite music or maybe the news.  Or you might decide that your best plan is every day after dinner to spend 10 minutes taking care of a few of the items.  Whatever it is, find a system that works for you and stick to it. Maybe you will also choose to have a small file close by to file away the bills and paperwork that have been completed. Maybe you will find it is helpful to immediately put the catalogues and magazines someplace where you will see them and enjoy them during the week.

Now you are off to a great start and making a wonderful change in your life.

Remember, consistent little steps create great change.

New Year

February 15th, 2011

It is a New Year for me. Not because of Jan. 1, 2011 (calendar year), not because Feb. 3, 2011 (Chinese New Year), but because Feb. 13, was my birthday. So many things go through cycles on a calendar year, but in numerology, a person “cycles” with their birthday. Personal cycles last for a year and change each year on your birthday. There are nine cycles, then you start over at one again.

Personal year is calculated by adding your month, day, and the current year. If you have not had your birthday yet in 2011, you are still on your prior year cycle and still use 2010 to calculate. 2+13+2011= 2+1+3+2+0+1+1=10 (always reduce your number to a one digit number) =1

As you see, I am starting a ONE year now. Below is a brief explanation of what to expect during each personal year cycle:

1. Individualize yourself in every way. Hold fast to your own ideals and purposes. Be independent and follow your own council–first making sure you are right. Listen to your internal voice. Make changes you were contemplating; promote your new scheme or make additions to your present line. You are at a turning point; change is in the air. You are at the height of your power. This is the planting time. Hold a constant picture of the thing you want to be or the person you want to be at the end of the next nine years. Plant the kind of seed you want to see come up. Whatever you sow now, you will reap later. Above all else-don’t be lazy!

2. This year, the seeds you planted in the 1 year will germinate. This is not the time for action, but attraction. Things will come to you if you are quiet and receptive. Keep an open mind. Study all you can and acquire new information on subjects which interest you most. Plan to work with others instead of going it alone. Keep calm, cool and pleasant. Strengthen your friendships. Keep your goal in mind and collect things that will help you reach it. New opportunities and privileges will drop into your lap. Don’t force the connections, events. Be patient. Don’t expect to see any results from last Year’s planting. Fertilize the soil and wait for things to grow below the surface. Don’t be sensitive. Do the small things. WAIT!

3. This is the year for you to cultivate the society of your old friends and make new ones. Plan to do a lot of socializing, entertaining, and accept invitations. The conditions around you are cheerful and optimistic. You will not be overburdened with responsibilities and may safely take time to enjoy yourself. You have a tendency to be scattered and may take on too many things at once, so be careful to complete one thing before starting another. Be happy. Some of the flowers planted in 1 year may start to show their heads. Enjoy them. You are in light, art, beauty; let others enjoy it.

4. This is your year for work. If you are lazy or do too much loafing, you may experience poor health. You must dig, hoe, cultivate, and build what you want to have a real vacation next year. Test everything for stability and practicality. Square up past mistakes and figure out how to avoid new ones. Work out all the details of that project you have been turning around in your mind; strengthen all it’s weak places. Put all your affairs in perfect order. Look well to your health-especially in matters of diet. Keep BUSY.

5. This year you should feel free to go where you please. Go somewhere, for your opportunity will be found outside the ordinary routine. Let go of old things and make room for new ones. Welcome new situations, places and people. This is a year of progress. If you have business of your own, present it with a new angle. Do a lot of advertising. Don’t let the prevailing atmosphere of change and variety make you restless–take advantage of it to learn something new. Don’t scatter yourself and burn up all of your energy. Keep balance between concentration and explosion. Do a variety of things, but let each one be of use to you. Get out of the RUT!

6. This year you have more responsibility than you did in the 5 year. You will be called upon to make adjustments for those less able to do so than you. Narrow yourself down a bit and plan to enjoy your home life. You will be surrounded by love, friendliness and contentment–if you allow yourself to attract them. Be very thorough and conscientious about everything you do, finishing all you undertake. Don’t hustle, just ease into things. It isn’t a year for big accomplishments. Things may seem like they are at a standstill, but the Universe is working unceasingly and making unseen adjustments in your life. It is the most personal year of the 9 cycles. A fine and friendly influence for marriage and all home conditions. This a year of relationships.

7. This is the year for the spiritual hen to sit upon her nest-not a happy time for social activities or too much associated with crowds. Plan to spend a good deal of time alone and get square with your powers, past mistakes, and future desires. Don’t brood over the past–simply look it over and put it where it belongs. Let everything pertaining to business remain where it is. It is not a time for expansion or change–only reflection and perfection. Analyze everything you have or are doing. Deepen your roots of everything that’s worth keeping. It is a good financial vibration if we don’t strain after money for it’s material use. Await developments. This is a year of introspection.

8. This is your power year. Now is the time to make great strides. Through work, effort and activity you put yourself under the Law of Compensation and now you should see much of the fruits of your planting. Activity is your keynote–the whole world is your field. Gather all your forces together and branch out. Plan, think and act. Compel things to come to you to work for you. There are big things to be done and big opportunities for their doing. POWER is in the air for YOU!

9. This is the time to weed the garden-at home, in business or personal relationships. It is not always an easy year, for the old stumbling-blocks will appear unexpectedly upon the path and if you don’t take the trouble to roll them out of the way, they will trip you up and maybe lay you up. Things that have been lagging behind must be finished up this year and all accounts “paid in full”. DO it NOW–it mustn’t be carried over. You will find the year full of love and happiness if you don’t make yourself the center of the universe. This is a friendship year, but it is also a year to take inventory. You are in the process of completion, the preparation for the new beginning of another 9 year cycle. Cultivate music, writing, nature and the arts; express love to the many and toleration to all. Finish up and throw out all that has delayed or hampered you.
